The Ginkgo Prize for Ecopoetry

A major international award for poems embracing ecological themes.
The first prize is £5,000, second prize is £2,000 and third prize is £1,000. All three winners plus two runners-up will attend a ten-day residency at Cill Rialaig Arts Centre, Ireland. Find out more here
Apples & Snakes Presents: The Writing Room Lincoln with Malika Booker
Sessions are weekly between 4th September and 23rd October with a showcase at the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre Wednesday 24th October.
This 8 week course is designed to take you through the whole process of writing a poem - from the genesis of an idea and using different writing forms, to discovering the sound of your poems and revisiting and editing your work, as well as having the platform to showcase your work at the end! Hollingworth Prize for Poetry 2018
Deadline: 26th August 2018
The inaugural Hollingworth Prize for Poetry is awarded for a chapbook-length manuscript of poems by a single poet. The winner will receive mentorship and critical feedback on their work from an established poet, followed by publication by Sine Wave Peak and Partus. This year’s mentor to the winning poet is Richard Scott. Find out more here
Birkbeck University of London: Kit De Waal Scholarship
Deadline: 14th September 2018

Outspoken Masterclass, Poetry Cafe

The class is open to members of the public of all ages and abilities - from beginner to the more advanced. The intention is to give anyone with an interest in poetry the chance to work with the country's most revered writers' while learning some of their methods and approaches to crafting beautiful and original poetry.
